Write-On

An interactive literary exposition of writing

I was proud to see your expressive works in the gymnasium this afternoon.  Writing poetry is a fun activity and I know you have enjoyed it.

You don’t have to worry, some poems rhyme, other poems do not rhyme.  Just put your thoughts into words and have fun. It’s so interesting that you thought of an informative theme for your poem, like “polar bear” in this attempt.  Your poem doesn’t have to be fancy; it simply must portray your thoughts and feelings in poetic form.  Well done !!!

If you really want to have rhyming poems, learn from music and the Bible.  Do you remember the very first nursery rhymes that we sang together?  When you stomped your tiny feet and clapped to the rhythmic pattern, you were actually learning kind of poetry.  You can also learn by listening to music and appreciating how lyrics are similar to poetry set to music. The Bible is written in prose and parts of it are quite beautiful, so read more.

Learning is fun.  Writing is fun.  Let's have fun.

  1. By the way, you should also care of writing more eligibly. Literacy is important, but a good presentation will definitely make your works look better.
