Paradoxes

Life is full of paradoxes.  I want to change myself but accept myself.  I want to treat matters less seriously, and also more seriously.  I want to use my time wisely, but I also want to wander, eat, pray and love.  I want to think about something so I can forget something.  I want to let go of anxiety about the future, yet keep myself energetic and ambitious.  I want to do nothing, but equally want to do whatever at whim.  I hope someone can show me the answer, but I enjoy finding it out by my own self.

So, that is life.  So, life is fun.

  2. Life is full of contradiction and we always struggle with either conflict with the others – family / colleagues / friends, or even ourselves. Ideally we can always stand at the point of the equilibrium in our life. But it’s almost “mission impossible”.

Although I’m still living with “究竟要靚定要命”, I’m learning how to live with “going with the flow on my way” at the same time. Trying my best to find the equilibrium point is my target in my life.

On the other hand, I believe that paradoxes in our life are the gift from the God. If we’ve got an interminable, monotonous, tedious, stodgy or wearisome life, it’s certainly boring and meaningless. Then, the paradox is a good motivation for us to be engaged in the pursuit of sophisticated, superior, exciting, meaningful and colorful life.

    That’s our miraculous life!

  3. I like what you have just said - life is miraculous.

  4. You have a healthy and positive perspective - to maintain an equilibrium in life. I have been trying to do so but I have an evil thought that people will tend to enjoy the pleasure derived from disequilibrium or they can enjoy more of the equilibrium after coming out from disequilibrium. I guess I have a hidden tendency to lead a life of vice or being a heel.

  5. For me, I prefer “… gift from the God” rather than “miraculous life”. Anything is offered by the God. I believe paradox (not too extreme) can drive us to pursue rather colorful life than boring life.

Our friend said nobody can have absolutely balanced life. She’s right. Equilibrium is the ideal on everything either economy or our life style. But I don’t think nobody can achieve it even the famous Economist, Adam Smith or some philosophers. Ah… I think maybe only Zhuang Zi is an exceptional case.

As we’re ordinary people living with contradictory life, it’s more normal than normal. That why I’m still at the stage of “究竟要靚定要命”. If we’re not too extreme, we haven't got any problem.

Moreover, I never think you're an evil about this. I know one of my friends (not our sisters) has been struggling with the contradiction over ten years.
